About

I am a frontend engineer with over 10 years of experience building and scaling web applications, mostly with React, TypeScript and GraphQL. I have worked across enterprise platforms and startups, on teams ranging from small product squads to larger engineering orgs.

My work centers on three things: application architecture, performance and large-scale framework upgrades. I have led codebase refactors, cut page load times through better rendering strategies, migrated build tooling for faster CI, and mentored other engineers on React and GraphQL patterns.

I am currently working toward Staff Engineer level. That means spending more time on architectural decisions that affect multiple teams, writing things like architecture decision records, and making sure the engineers around me have what they need to do good work, not just writing code myself.

Outside of day to day project work, I spend time learning how React actually works under the hood. I prefer building things with low abstraction setups, like React 19 with Vite and Express, instead of reaching for a framework immediately. It is slower, but it means I understand what is happening at each layer: rendering, suspense, streaming, hydration.

I also have an ongoing interest in web3 that keeps expanding into new parts of the space. Outside of full-time roles I have built and contributed to projects across live streaming access control, DeFi interfaces and on-chain tooling.

I also spend time on system design and backend fundamentals, areas I want to be stronger in as I take on more architectural responsibility.

Outside of work I read hard science fiction, follow crypto, travel when I can, and play guitar and sing.
